Our plan was to board the trolley at the Morena Boulevard station, then ride to the Old Town, then transfer to another trolley that could drop us off at the train station downtown.
Because of the large crowds we found ourselves leaving half of our team behind along the way, but finally we made it downtown. After a quick stretch, we were on our way for a "tour of San Diego". We ran out of downtown, toward Mission Hills (the word "hills" being the operative word).
Then it was a downhill run into Old Town, back to the trolley station where it all began. But wait there's more...for those of us wanted to do more than 5 or 6 miles, we headed over to Mission Bay, running a couple miles past the Visitor's Center, then back to the trolley station. I ran it with one of our coaches, Samantha, who's a speed demon, but she took it easy on me. We did a little over 13 miles (a half-marathon), which was good training for my Disneyland Half-Marathon. This Saturday, we head to Solana Beach for a 10-12 mile run.
