Week #4 - Bring On the Rain

We have a pretty tough group of runners this season. It was pouring this morning at 6:30, but by 7am the sky started to clear and the sun came out, and stayed that way for most of the 10 miles. We started our morning with a talk by Dr. Chad Wells (in the picture on the left), a chiropractor who specializes in working on runners. He has helped people like Ryan Hall and a number of Olympic athletes. I was never a believer in chiropractors until I went to this guy for some running injuries. He got me straigthened out and running again, and he's a big supporter of TNT.

My mentor job this morning was finding two friends that would work aid stations for our team, and even the rain didn't stop Norm & Adrienne...thanks for helping out! I was also the "sweeper" today, which means that I had to stay out on the course and make sure every runner made it back to the finish line.

Tomorrow, I head over to Pizza Port, Solana beach for my TNT fundraiser. Come on out and support the team, and have some great pizza & beer. Make sure you download the flyer here and bring it with you to make sure I get credit. Pizza Port will donate 20-percent of your order to help find a cure for blood cancer.
