For the first 12 years, the San Diego Rock & Roll Marathon always ended at MCRD. Then, last year they announced that we could no longer finish there, because they're building new barracks in the area where we ended the run. After months of anticipation, the new course for this year has been unveiled. They've added a 4.7 mile loop around Fiesta Island, and the finish line will be at Sea World. I was kinda hoping they'd add a stretch along the ocean.
