Week #3 - Running with the Big Dogs

Last weekend we ran at Doyle Park in La Jolla. We met near the dog park and had a form clinic with Coach Ronnie, to learn how to stand, how to breathe, and proper running form. Then we headed out for a 7-8 mile run to practice good running form. One of the rewarding parts of being a captain/mentor is helping new runners. This run had a nice long gradual hill near the end of our run. I remember the course from last year, and how a lot of runners dragged up that hill, so this year I spent some time running up the hill with people, running back down, then doing it again. It turned out to be a great workout for me!
