Today we did out "world famous" train run. We boarded the train in Solana Beach, got off in Oceanside, then ran back. This is always a great run with a view of the ocean most of the way, and we run through 3 or 4 beach cities along the way. We had all 3 of out TNT groups there (we probably had a couple hundred people running this one). The half-marathoners did almost 12 miles. The full-marathoners did 18. The weather got a little hot, but it was probably the closest to the weather conditions we'll have for the Rock & Roll Marathon next month.
After doing the 18 miler (well I actually did 17, because I hadn't run all week), I headed back home, got cleaned up, then went to Skate World to go roller skating with my wife & kids for 3 hours. I turned out to be a great way to stretch out my legs after the long run. That, followed by a short nap made for a great day.
