You never know who or when blood cancer will strike.This weekend, I heard from a friend who received my fundraising email, letting me know that her husband is going through his 5th round of chemo for lymphoma. You can read his story HERE.
The funds we raise not only help find a cure, but also help people who are going through treatment. I'll be putting his name on my racing jersey, as an honored teammate... another reminder of why I'm out there. I didn't coin this phrase, but it's worth repeating: "You think running a marathon is tough? Try chemotherapy!"
